About James Constable: Christian Author and Disciple Maker
Helping Believers Grow Closer to Jesus
I’m James Constable, a Christian author, pastor, teacher, and disciple maker.
My mission is simple:
Help people know Jesus, live by His Word, and become disciples who make disciples.
I write practical, Bible-centered books about prayer, spiritual growth, daily faith, and the mission Jesus gave every believer.
I do not want to help you only know more.
I want to help you live what you believe.

My Story Is a Story of God’s Grace
I was saved in 1977.
But my walk with God was not always strong.
In 1979, I entered a long season of running from God. I knew about Him, but I was not living close to Him.
In 1998, the prodigal came home.
God met me with mercy. He began rebuilding my faith and teaching me what it truly means to follow Jesus.
My past reminds me that knowing about God is not the same as walking with Him.
It also reminds me that no one is beyond His reach.
God can restore a wandering heart. He can rebuild a broken life. He can use our past to help someone else find the way home.
I am not the hero of my story.
Jesus is.
Scripture
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
— Luke 19:10 NKJV
Someone Took the Time to Walk With Me
My faith did not grow because someone gave me a hard program.
It grew because mature Christians walked beside me.
They opened God’s Word with me.
They prayed with me.
They answered my questions.
They challenged me when I needed correction.
They encouraged me when I wanted to quit.
Most of all, they showed me what following Jesus looks like in everyday life.
Those relationships changed the direction of my life.
They taught me a lesson I will never forget:
✝️ Disciples grow when other disciples walk with them.
✝️ That truth became the foundation of my ministry and the heart behind my books.
A Step of Faith Changed Everything
In 2008, my family and I moved from Maine to Georgia.
We had no jobs waiting for us. We did not know anyone. We rented a home without seeing it first.
We did not know how every need would be met.
But we believed God was leading us.
That move taught me that faith is not always knowing what comes next.
Sometimes faith is trusting God enough to take the next step.
God used that move to open new doors for ministry, friendship, and personal discipleship.
What looked uncertain to us was already known by Him.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
A Simple Question Started a Movement
In 2008, personal discipleship became a major part of my ministry.
It began with a simple question:
“Have you ever been discipled?”
That question opened doors.
Pastors, ministry leaders, and everyday Christians began meeting in small groups. They read the Bible, prayed, shared what God was teaching them, and helped each other follow Jesus.
Lives began to change.
Discouraged pastors found hope. Christians grew hungry for God’s Word. New groups began as disciples invited others to walk with them.
We did not need a large crowd.
We began with two or three people.
Why Two or Three People?
Disciple making does not have to be hard.
Invite two or three people to meet with you.
📖 Read God’s Word.
🙏 Pray together.
🤝 Share your struggles.
✝️ Obey what Jesus teaches.
🌱 Help each other grow.
🌍 Teach each person to walk with others.
Then encourage each person to begin another group.
That is how multiplication begins.
✝️ you do not need a crowd to make a difference. Start with two or three.

Why I Write Christian Books
I do not write Christian books only to give people more information.
We can know many Bible facts and still fail to obey Jesus.
I write to help people put biblical truth into practice.
My books focus on the areas that have shaped my own walk with God:
🙏 Prayer
🙌 Worship
📖 Bible meditation
🌿 Fasting
🤝 Christian fellowship
🌍 Disciple making
I also write about daily faith, following Jesus, and the mission of the church.
My book The Hole in the Church calls believers and churches back to making disciples who make disciples.

What Christian Leaders Say About James Constable
A ministry is not proven by words alone.
These pastors and Christian leaders have walked with James, served beside him, and seen his commitment to Scripture and personal discipleship.
“James was the first person to challenge us to consider whether we were truly living as disciple-making Christians. His example and exhortation were used by the Lord to inspire us to become disciples who make disciples.”
✝️ Duane Logsdon, Southern Baptist Pastor, and Jennifer Logsdon
Their ministry still uses “Jesus Moments,” a practice James introduced to help believers notice how God is working around them.
“James Constable is a man of deep conviction, sincere faith, and wisdom grounded in God’s Word. He does not just talk about discipleship as if it were a program. He makes disciples who make disciples.”
✝️ Victor Scott, Non-Denominational Pastor
A simple question from James—“Have you ever been discipled?”—helped change the direction of Victor’s life and ministry.
“James is a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and always conducts himself as such in every setting. He genuinely cares about every person with whom he interacts.”
✝️ Ike J. Branch, Church of the Nazarene Pastor
Pastor Branch describes James as a life example of humility, care for others, and faithful disciple making.
“His enthusiasm for ministry and discipleship is contagious. He loves the Lord, the Bible, and discipleship. He is a humble servant of the Lord.”
✝️ Glenn Ford, Southern Baptist Pastor
Pastor Ford has prayed, served, and met in a small discipleship group with James.
✝️ These words are not shared to lift up one man.
✝️ They show what God can do through a life surrendered to Jesus, rooted in Scripture, and committed to helping others grow.

What Can Happen When Disciples Walk Together?
God has used simple Bible-reading groups to change lives.
Pastors who felt tired found new hope.
Believers who felt stuck began hearing God through His Word.
People confessed sin, found healing, and started serving God with joy.
Small groups became new groups.
Disciples began helping other disciples grow.
The power was not in a program.
The power was in God’s Word, prayer, obedience, and the work of the Holy Spirit.
“My limited experience with this has proved to be the most beneficial and powerful thing I have been part of in 15 years of ministry. God’s Word is powerful, and when men seriously engage it, they are changed.”
✝️ Matt Strevel, Southern Baptist Pastor
✝️ One invitation to read the Bible with someone can change more than one life.
